Vijay’s next director confirmed

Ilaya Thalapathy is currently busy wrapping up Prabhu Deva’s Villu which is expected to hit the screens by the end of this year. As reported by us earlier, Vijay will be doing a film for his father’s V V creations and later a film for A V M. While the director and other cast members for VV creations are yet to be finalized, A V M was on the look out for a director with commercial value.

Names like Perarasu and Hari were doing the rounds as they have the reputation of delivering commercial potboilers. However the mantle appears to have fallen on Babu Sivan who had penned the dialogues for Dharani’s Kuruvi. For Babu Sivan, this will be his maiden directorial outing with the popular star and the established banner. Heroine and other crew members for this project will be finalized later.
